For the marinade/sauce:

- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce

Instructions
- Slice the beef thinly across the grain to make it easier to chew.
- Add in minced garlic, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, oyster, cornstarch and baking soda. Mix well and marinate in the fridge for few hours so that the beef absorbes all the flavours.
- Preheat your wok or pan over high heat with 1 tsp sesame oil before adding garlic and onions. When fragrant, spread the beef slices evenly across the pan and let it get a nice sear (1-2min).
- Once it’s browned on the outside, add a bit of water to obtain a sauce.
- Remove the beef from the pan and toss the broccoli cut into florets with some water. Cover for few minutes so that they cook faster but not too long if you want them to stay crisp-tender.
- When the broccoli are cooked to your desired softness, add back the beef into the pan and mix well so that the sauce coat the broccoli.
- Serve with rice and enjoy!
Notes
If you want more sauce, you can mix the same ingredients you used for the beef marinade with a bit of water and pour the mixture at the end of the cooking process to allow the sauce to coat the beef and broccoli without making it too wet or soggy.
