Ingredients

  • 300 g beef sliced (I bought pre-sliced frozen skirt steak)
  • 200 g onion big , sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 20 g plum sauce or maple syrup/honey/brown sugar for the sweetness
  • 2 tbsp mirin or rice wine
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 25 g gochujang paste
  • 150 g kimchi
  • 150 g lettuce

Instructions

  • Prepare the marinade by mixing all the condiments listed above until well combined.
  • Add in the sliced onion, chopped garlic and sliced beef to the marinade and massage with your hand so that the meat is well coated. Put in the fridge and marinade for at least 1 hour to overnight to allow the flavours to infuse.
  • Cook the beef on a pan or plancha grill and top with chopped scallions and sesame seeds
  • Serve with lettuce, kimchi and radish pickles. Enjoy 😋
